Terms of Service

Welcome to Redakt ("we," "our," "us"). By using our application, website, and services (the "Services"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Redakt. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

  • You may sign up using email/password or third-party login (e.g., Google OAuth).
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • All passwords using email/password are securely encrypted.

3. Use of the Services

  • Redakt is a text editor with AI capabilities designed to help users write and research.
  • You may not use the Services for any unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Content Ownership

  • You retain all rights to documents and files you create or upload.
  • By using the Services, you grant Redakt a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

5. Data Storage

We store user documents, uploaded files, and basic profile information (name, email, profile picture). Data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Billing and Payments

  • Payments are processed by Polar.sh with Stripe as the underlying payment provider.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
  • Refunds: We offer pro-rated refunds if AI chat usage is 20% or less of the limit set by your plan.
  • We do not offer refunds for any other reason.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your documents, files, and personal data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Redakt is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Redakt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
